One thing we can always count on in life is Change. Whether it be a change in career paths, a change in relationships or a change in locations, it’s inevitable that change is going to happen many times throughout our lives.
It’s in our human nature to resist and hold onto the past when there is a fear of the unknown. This is only normal. Keeping things the same whether it is a positive situation or not gives us a feeling of comfort and stability. It’s a place where we feel safe and secure. The problem with this is that it can hold us back from seeing new opportunities and life experiences.
There may be doors opened to you that can take you to places you never dreamed of, or experiences that add adventure and vitality to your life. I am sure we have all heard the saying, growth occurs when we step out of our comfort zone. This is true. If we never take that step, we will never know what could be possible. Don’t be afraid to unleash your potential in new ways when you feel that calling.
Years ago when I opened my studio I had been a personal trainer for quite some time. I had a plethora of certifications in all areas of fitness. I made it my life work so I could help individuals with a wide variety of goals and needs. When it came to opening my studio a whole new skill sert was required, that of being a business owner and a leader for other trainers. I quickly changed my focus of education so I could step into a new role.
With this many new and exciting opportunities came my way.
Over the past few years there have been many changes in each of our lives and the world around us. Going into this with a mindset of knowing change is going to happen, we can adapt, evolve and use these experiences to our advantage rather than resist.
I spoke to one of our members this week and she complimented me on having such a good outlook on life in the midst of change. I can attest to having gone through many changes in life and understanding that change will occur. It’s a constant variable. I however, have the power in how I choose to perceive and deal with it.
As you look into your own life, take note, is there an area you may be feeling stuck? What would happen if you took a leap of faith? What would happen if you don’t.
I encourage you not to let fear hold you back. Fear is an acronym for:
False Evidence Appearing Real.
You are meant to do and experience great things in this life and the world is just waiting for you to show up!
Don’t let another opportunity slip by.
